Gay Couple Signs To Modeling Agency, As A package

Dazed shared the signing of models John Tuite and Carlos Santolalla, also known as Jarlos, as the first gay couple to sign with a modeling agency. Signed to Fusion, John and Carlos are not merely a couple that happen to both be at the same agency, but they come as a packaged deal. Fusion booker Alexandra Phipps shares, “We signed them as a duo because they are both models and they DJ as a duo, under the name Jarlos. They’ve made a name for themselves as a team, so we decided to run with it.” Jarlos even appeared together in DKNY’s fall-winter 2014 advertising campaign. Phipps adds, “We have been aware of Carlos and John for a while, now. We have an agent on the men’s board here who started Carlos in the modeling business. John and Carlos have modeled together in several projects, so it seemed natural to sign them both. They are great models and they have an amazing look, as a unit and individually.”
