Happy Earth Day everyone! Time to break out the green threads, start recycling again and celebrate all things planet earth. There’s not an Earth Day that goes by where I don’t think about how it was celebrated back at my college. It became a carnival at Skidmore, with huge inflatables, ice cream machines and tie-dye paint that drenched everyone’s shirtless body. But bouncy castles and body paint aside, today I am celebrating with the help of The Beatles, Madonna and 4 other artists who sang about this here planet.

 Marvin Gaye, “Mercy Mercy Me”

The Beach Boys, “Don’t Go Near the Water”

Joni Mitchell, “Big Yellow Taxi (DJ Yamin Remix)”

The Beatles, “Mother Nature’s Son”

Madonna, “4 Minutes”

Michael Jackson, “Heal The World”
