A Shearling Jacket at #NYFWM

Shearling jackets are a great badass staple to go to when you want to look baller without to much fuss. Everyone from James Dean to Biggles were fans of the look and it’s easy to see why shearling is a perennial catwalk favorite. So breaking it out at New York Fashion Week Men’s just felt right.

This coat is a descendant of the bombers that kept fighter pilots warm back when planes were freezing hunks of flying aluminum. Which makes pairing it with aviators an easy call. So instead I parted it with fem cat eye glasses. Love me some contrasting accessories. I styled the jacket with white jeans and a tan turtle for a luxe ’70s feel. Shearling will always feel so retro to me so I like to take it all the way to the disco era.

Also – the fluffy stuff really keeps you warm.
