Is there anything more a boy can want then 1940s charm, fur and latex?

Calvin Klein Collection’s fall 2015 line made all my dreams come true by blending the 1940s, fur and latex.

The reveal of the Milan men’s shows is the most wonderful three consecutive days all year. And seeing as Calvin Klein Collection, one of my most admired lines, shows then and grey is my favorite color, you could imagine just how hot and bothered I got from the brand’s Fall 2015 line up.

I’m not just talking a single shade of grey, I’m talking: Ash, granite, anthracite, Gotham, basalt, zenith, charcoal and heather.

Don’t worry; these shades of the hue don’t stretch to 50. No involvement of 50 Shades of Grey here. Although the first pick for the male star of the film, Christopher Hunnam, sat front row. Rather, creative director Italo Zucchelli looked toward the silver screen in a continuing pursuit of the masculine ideal. As I also did when I partnered with the brand for their fall 2014 collection.

He stitched together a collection that spoke to the glamour of film noir and old-school black-and-white pictures. calvin-klein-collection-menswear

The result, a ’40s silhouette with a futuristic vibe. Overcoats with a fur hooded trim, suits, prim grey trousers and oversized topcoats took to the runway before shiny latex garments, such as a black raincoat and a pilot coat with a fur trim and items constructed from neoprene fabric made an appearance, which was inspired by prison guard uniforms. Everything was perfectly punctuated by bulky patent leather field boots.

Suits and jackets were with embossed cheetah and leopard textures that glistened under the lights of the runway. I would have loved to see a man opposite Bette Davis in one of these numbers.
