The all denim look has had its ups (James Dean circa 1951) and its downs (Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears circa 2001). But when it’s done right, there’s nothing sweeter than an all denim look…except maybe ice cream and a pina colada.
When it’s all in one shade, head to toe denim can easily look you’re headed to the rodeo. A easy way to make this look urban sleek is to punctuate it with the right accessories. Here I am taking a western-inspired denim shirt from Givenchy’s fall collection and paired it with a matching pair of washed-out denim torn jeans by A.P.C.
To punctuate this hazy and faded outfit, I paired it with black and white accessories. A pair of black Birkenstocks and black-and-white check pattern shades by Saint Laurent help ground the look and take the cow out of cowboy. The last bit of swag comes in the form of a black pearl necklace by my current favorite jewelry designer, Dean Harris.
Black pearls make everything better.
