Going Nude

The solid nude-colored trend has morphed from a staple look hanging in my grandma’s closet to something Kim and Kanye wear on the reg.

monochrome nude trend.
Trend’s are a funny thing. You run the risk of trying something that may result in you looking quite lost and foreign. But the good news it’s not like a bad haircut where you will have to wait months to fix. It’s just fashion! You can take it off.
The solid nude-colored trend has morphed from a staple look hanging in my grandma’s closet to something Kim and Kanye wear on the reg. When did beige become the new black? Perhaps it started
when Obama rocked that beige suite and made headlines around the world.
But could I pull it off? I mere mortal not living in the White house?
In the past I have failed. I ended up looking like a man who goes by the name of Big Daddy that ran
through a L.L Bean sale on his way to meet Indiana Jones? There’s something about the trend that made
me dress awfully literally.
So without further ado, here is my beige look. I styled a Comme des Garçons Play cardigan with a pair of
Dell’oglio trousers (from a super cute shop in Palermo, Sicily that I found on Farfetch) that are just slightly a different shade of nude to add a bit of texture and subtle pop. I punctuated the look with white kicks by House of Future and frames with metallic nude lenses by Le Specs. Mama always said your frames should always match your look.
