The menswear market has never been bigger then it is right now. It has been slaying the runway, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat for years and is at an all-time high. Paris Men’s Fashion Week Spring 2017 was a perfect testament to this. Here are the 6 biggest trends from the Spring 2017 Parisian runways for all you #menswear maniacs.

shoulder

The Boxy Shoulder

The age of Dynasty level shoulder pads is upon us fellas. Wide stature trended at Y/Project, Lanvin, Gosha Rubchinskiy and Balenciaga.

sheer

Sheer

You know what they say, the sheerer the fabric, the cooler it’s wear. Cool boys were spotted at Comme des Garcons Shirt, Walter Van Beirendonk, Ann Demeulemeester, Y/Project, Off-White.

harness

Tied Up

Designers tapped into sexual undertones that Raf Simons started in Milan. Here we have bondage undertones by Dior Homme, Comme des Garcons Shirt, Walter Van Beirendonk, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.

camo

Camo

Dudes are treating the runway as a battlefield for Spring 2017 rocking Utilitarian grungy looks. From left to right we have Dries Van Noten, Bottega Veneta, Givenchy, Valentino and Faith Connexion.

mankle

Flood Ready

One of the Spring 2017 seasons biggest silhouettes was the cropped, flood length trouser. All the better to show off statement socks or a little ankle. Models were ready for a flood at Maison Margiela, Thom Browne, Hermes, Haider Ackermann and Lanvin.

artistic surfer

Artsy Surfer

Just surf, sun, sand and a paintbrush. The effortless surfer look has been trending for a couple of season now. For summer 2017 the surfer look got injected with a eclectic arty look complete with bold tropical floral prints, board shorts that packed a punch and optic patterns. In model order we have Thom Browne, Givenchy, Kenzo, Sacai and Haider Ackermann.
