Because finding a Halloween costume is hard enough.

What to Wear This Week oct27

And life is hard enough without trying to figure out what to wear this week.

Monday, man. Painful but important – it sets the stage for the day and week ahead. Brace yourself. This week is going to get rocky. The cool temperatures of late October may have primed us for fall fashion, but with the unstable week ahead, your body will be saying thin cotton layers even if your mind is whispering leather, sheering and fur.

Today will be in the mid 60’s, sunny, mostly clear; the rest of the week will see a fluctuation from 70s to 40s, with possible sprinkles mid week.

Today and tomorrow go for sumptuous fabrics that not only make the beginning of the week softer but also are perfect transitioning into pieces while the weather is making up its fussy mind. These cropped Acne Flannel Beige Mélange Trousers are a cool-boy favorite. Besides making an appropriate main ingredient for layering as the temperatures rise and fall, cropped trousers can be worn with every shoe in your closet.

I know I can call these trousers cool all night long but that doesn’t mean you’re ready for them. I can’t force you into these wide leg crop beauties, but trust me your legs will be happy.

Pair them with this fluffy lightweight top that will have everyone in the office unable to keep their hands off of you. I realize for some this could be a major negative. In case the weather takes a turn for the frigid, bring along this padded bomber. In terms of footwear, go for these Perforated Chukka Sneakers because sometimes your feet want in on the transitional action.

It’s Wednesday. Cool. Hump Day.

Thursday, the promise of the weekend hangs heavy in the air. So let’s celebrate by flashing our innate sense of rock n’ roll in this Saint Laurent tweed blazer (really consider the blazer well worth the investment) and ad a hint of British mod flair to the look with this cotton and silk-blend Burberry shirt. Boom!

And then there was Friday. The happiest days of the week filled with promise of the excitement of the weekend. You feel as if almost anything is possible. So we should dress accordingly.

Wear a white t-shirt because you technically don’t need a sweater if you layer accordingly and I feel like you should take advantage of your ability to rock a comfortable cotton tee for as long as possible. Throw on a black double-breasted blazer to ad a proper edge. Or since it’s Halloween, you could just rock your sexy carpenter costume all day because you’re not afraid of overalls on All Hallows Eve.

On Saturday, switch out the blazer for a thin leather jacket.

Sunday. Pajama day.
