A Next-Level Leather Jacket At LCM SS16, Day 3

Wearing electric blue leather with the confidence of someone who got hammered on 1 euro shots.

My very, very blue period at LCM SS16, day 3 is less blue and more electric.

Day 3 of LCM is arguably the very best of the batch- it lacks the nervous tension of day one and doesn’t really have the #overit/ hungover attitude of day 4. Some of my favorite shows took place yesterday including House of Holland, J.W. Anderson and Alexander McQueen.

House of Holland showed his very first menswear range at the carpark of Selfridges. HOH merged and distilled various youth subcultures to create a new, richer visual language. It was a kind of  raver tribal ’90s sportswear look fused with technical fabrics.

Always a standout, J.W. Anderson showed a range of Asian inspired gender-bending laid-back and Zen-like looks, while McQueen’s Sarah Burton showed a range of sharply tailored Victorian sailor looks.

As for my look, I kept it simple and based it around my new cobalt blue leather jacket by Mackage. There are two ways to wear colored leather. Either you rock it bold and pair it with various contrasting colored items, or you let the jacket do the talking and be the standout number of the look. I went for the ladder and paired the very, very blue biker jacket with slim black trousers, a grey ATM tee and black Saint Laurent boots.
