It was freezing, down pouring and there was no shine of sunshine. With the storm moving out and the promise of a sun-drenched city in the foreseeable future, why not talk about a cool new sunnie collaboration.

fornasetti-x-valentino-limited-edition-objects-collection-2Valentino has joined creative forces with Italian decorative arts company Fornasetti for a limited edition capsule collection. The collection combines the haunting illustrations by 20th century painter Piero Fornasetti with the Valentino signature camo pattern.

The two creative’s sought inspiration in the psychological concept of “parallel vision,” you know, the ability of our noggin to simultaneously process incoming stimuli of differing quality.

The pattern also decorates accompanying wooden box, a silk scarf, two wooden trays, a porcelain plate and a wooden stool.

This collection will debut at the Valentino Sala Bianca 945 event in New York tonight (December 10).
