What Your Winter Coat Says About You

Let’s break it down because it’s too cold for any outdoor activities.

Because it’s it’s New York Fashion Week and we have been staring at too many coats and not enough faces, here’s what we’ve deciphered what your winter coat says about you.

Bobby Abley - Front Row - MADE Fashion Week Fall 2015

(Bobby Abley Fall 2015)

The Puffer: He eats lunch like clockwork at 1 PM everyday because he once read that metabolically, it was the best time to eat. He has rain boots and snow boots because you never know when you might need them. He likes to colour code his sock drawer and alphabetise his book shelf, because otherwise how are you meant to find anything?

The Biker: He lives life in the fast lane. He sleeps in late, hibernating indoors, living of coffee and cigarettes throughout the afternoon. Night time is when he hits the town. He likes his beers cold, his bands live and his Harley Davidson waiting outside to ride home on in the early hours. Of course with a glamorous woman (or marvelous man) on the back.

The Trench: From expensive cigars to velvet red wine, he likes the finer things in life. He vacations in Paris. He works in a glass office. On the weekends he visits art galleries and long walks in the park. He dreams of vintage Rolex watches and Carla Bruni.

The Parka: He lives in “organised mess” and eats last night’s takeaway for breakfast. He pops down to his local corner shop each morning to buy a newspaper. He keeps clippings of his favourite articles. He loves the great outdoors, great expresso and great comedians. His friends are currently hassling him to do his dishes.

The Duffle: He enjoys visiting his Mom for roast beef on Sundays. He loves Converse because they are just so comfortable and he spends his evenings playing on the latest X Box games. He is most often found in an edgy coffee shop buried in a novel. He is currently looking for love on Tinder.
