The cynical part of me can’t help but wonder if the use of palm trees in LA isn’t part of some grand corporate scheme to get us feel happier, shop and but lots of palm tree print gear.

After being in LA for over 2 weeks, I got to thinking about what the ultimate West coast look. Is it the fact that so many people strut around and lunch in gym attire? Or is it the fact that so many people can successfully take their beach gear onto the streets? I think the answer lies somewhere between distressed denim and palm tree prints. It seems to say: “I care about trying to not to care in the best way possible.”
