New Finds: Organic Grooming Products For Spring

Because the skin on my face looks like a 3 week old chicken cutlet.

Having lived through a very long and cold February (and March) of embarrassing layered outfits and trying to go coatless, we weren’t altogether convinced that spring fashion is the only thing could possibly address our seasonal depression. I mean sure, a crop top will make me feel pretty awesome right about now. But my face looks like fries chicken that was left outside all of winter and was chewed on by at least three neighborhood dogs.

Somewhere in mid-March, I decided my skin problems were incurable. That was it. I ditched many of my celeb-endorsed remedies and abandoned my quest for silky smooth skin. But a friend suggested we give this organic skincare a try, and frankly, we were curious to see if it could al least turn our fried faces into deli meat.

And then something strange happened. My skin regained moisture and looked quite relaxed. No longer blindly enslaved to an alcohol and chemical filled 3-step regimen, I had the chance to learn what kinds of products worked for me. Since I try to eat organic when I can afford to, why not use it on my face? It was a long-awaited revelation.

My skin has improved considerably — in fact, I am pretty much fried chicken-free these days.
