I know hearing the word midsummer can be hard. It’s almost as bad as seeing a back to school commercial for the first time. Thanks JC Penny for airing one the first week in July and making me feel differently towards my beloved backpack. But try growing up in a house that lived by the rule that summer ended after the Forth of July. Talk about summertime sadness. With childhood now a distant memory, thanks to my therapist, I’m trying to celebrate midsummer knowing we still have a ton of time to enjoy frozen margaritas, ice coffee, sunbathing and jamming to killer summer jams.
