Battling Winter Blues In Denim

Gentlemen. Women. Humans. It’s still frigid out.

Pardon the cliché, but winter is an emotional roller coaster. When you’re at the peak with your arms flailing in the air, and your strutting down the street bundled in your blanket scarf and wearing a killer new parka you feel great. “I’ve got this,” you say to the crinkled face person shivering next to you, who just shot you the a look that could make Kayne feel awkward.

And then, the drop.

You plummet faster then you remember any other winter before with white knuckling the cart. At this point your winter black look is so ho-hum you despise it, that blanket scarf is worn it lacks the fluff of December days and you absolutely hate that once inspiring parka.

So my winter blues have lead to this denim ensemble. I spare you the site of another heavy winter coat and shot this look freezing in the streets of NY. A denim drenched look is powerful, bold and caries the fierceness of Rihanna.

Say what you will about a denim jean and shirt pairing. They’re not flattering, utterly un-chic, a terrible testament to style in America, Miley Cyrus, but I dig it. I’m still into Riff Raff’s 2014 VMA look. Yea I said it.

And frankly, it’s too cold for anyone who’s not reading this site to appreciate this look considering I am unrecognizable outside these wintery days.
