Happy hump day! This winter has been brutal. Arctic blasts that hit harder then A Rod. Snowstorms that seem to form out of nowhere. “NYC should expect a dusting of snow for your morning commute,” says my local meteorologist. Fast forward to the next morning and I feel like I’ve been transported to the Swiss Alps. Thanks Mr. G. But I must say, with all the white that surrounds us, I find refuge in stepping back for a moment and taking some to focus on color. Pastels are my area of focus right now. Coral and mint are bringing me back to a time and place where the warm breeze makes it seem like anything can happen. You know, spring in NYC – the most magical time of the year. The fluffy breeze frolics, twining through the streets. So reminiscent the magic of the Santa Anas you start to wonder if it actually made it’s way over from LA. While maintaining comfort is key for frigid days, I still try my best to stay true to my refined and flowery menswear style. While summer may only be a distant dream right now, my pastel look speaks to capturing that ease during winter.
