You know how we’re always saying that fashion has the ability to transform? Well today we are taking that saying and timing it by two.

This look you see here is transformative for my in two ways. First, I am going to shoe you how to dress up a tank. A tank has a bad rep for men. For some reason we are not allowed to wear this in many restaurants and bars in cities all over the world. This is an attempt to try to get passed the “no sleeves, no service” policy. Here I took a silk tank (already more fancy then most tanks out there) and paired it with a pair of slick gold and black striped tourers by Haider Ackermann. Gold just makes everything elegant, doesn’t it? Spoken like a true Italian American. My Grandma would be proud.

Second, I am using fashion here to transform my mood. Jimi Hendrix incomparable style and his smooth swagger was my inspiration today. My look is part funk, a hint of blues rock and a dash of psychedelia. It’s a paired down Hendrix’s look with a modern, social media twist.

So break some restaurant dress code rules and try the OCV approved tanks below. If you still get asked to cover up, just refer them to this post.
