Surf’s Up In NYC: Rock The Summer Surfer Look Now

TGIF! For those of you who are dying to grab a board and hit the waves, summer will be here soon. Although it hasn’t been feeling like spring lately, with snow creeping back into town and all, this spring/ summer is all about transformative clothes. So I though it would be fun to blend two major trends of the moment: strong florals and athletic wear. Think a Montauk surfer riding the street traffic waves of NYC until summer arrives – bold yet soft.  Although I admire the surfer look, I have never actually been able to successfully achieve it. I end up getting too worried and feel a gnarly sense of aqua boot coming on- surfer lingo meaning to get sick. Today, feeling the power of flowers, I proceeded to convince myself that I could pull it off,  at least in NYC. I need a bit more practice until I’m ready for Ditch Plains.
