Hotel Giardino, Ascona combines Mediterranean savoir-vivre with Swiss elegance.
Steps from the charming Ascona old town (a tiny lake side town dotted with street cafes and boasts a Latin ambience), the Hotel Giardino, Ascona provides the best in spa services, design and food. The culinary highlight is undisputably the restaurant ‘Ecco’ which has been awarded with two Michelin stars.
For me, it was the design that made me request a late checkout, twice.
The simple and harmonious interiors are graced in a warm, neutral hues dominated by soft yellows and white. In keeping with the Mediterranean vibes and proximity to the lakes, turquoise and aquamarine hues dominate interior furnishings, alongside brass finishes, and the occasional maritime tchotchke by way of red. Each of the rooms are adorned with laser-cut metal, leather headboards, brightly colored custom furniture, locally produced pieces and views of the hotel's pound, pool or near by mountains.
